Gardening Committee Report

Report of Gardening Committee

I grow plants for many reasons: to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty, or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow.

Gardening is the practice of growing and cultivating plants as part of horticulture. The goal is to create a garden in harmony with and adapted to a given area. We’ll start with the most obvious reason why cultivating plants is so important: We can’t eat, drink or breathe without them around. No plants, no life and that can’t be healthy. Daily gardening chores like watering, weeding, trellising and harvesting are great ways to augment an exercise regimen. We do all this things under the guidance of our Head of The Department Dr. Dilip Barad Sir. Your brain also benefits from time spent in the garden. Being outside in the fresh air and sunshine is an effective way to boost your mood and de-stress.
It is our tradition of department to plant tree which can live longer, it’s done by new batch, who will come every year. It was really memorable day. There are various committee to do various activity throughout the year. There are in gardening committee we have 27 members of both semester. We are celebrated gardening day two times in the whole year. In this year on 6th and 7th August, 2018 we celebrated first gardening day and we did memory tree plantation of new batch’s students and through this we also becomes participants of Clean India Mission and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. During those days we done lots of work around the area of department. We painted trees by geru and lime which protect trees by trunks. Also designed the pot and cover the garden area by blocks design. Then as per our department’s tradition on Republic day after Flag Anthem we celebrated republic day as a gardening day. And after that work we take healthy snacks and cold drink which is provide by sir.
There is greenery around our English Department and it’s provide us fresh air and energy. Before many years there was not a single tree but at running days we can see it’s totally changed atmosphere of Garden. Thanks to Dilip Barad sir for this revolutionary change and give us opportunity to become a part of this grateful work.
