The poem and prose has the similar elements like ,language and thoughts Poetry and prose has different method of expressing thoughts, truth and facts.prose has simple regular and particular way of writing, and as so far as poem is concern,it has meter, rhyme and ornamental language and prose is a work in which events are arranged in a order and as end,to give information to the reader about truth.

"poem of the highest kind may exist without metre and even without the contradistinction objects of a poem" according to Coleridge the poem of any kind of length neither cam be,nor ought to be poetry.it is " distinction resulting from the poetic genius itself ,which sustains and modifies the images , thoughts and emotions of the port's own mind." .
Poetry in larger sense brings ," The whole soul of man ; in to activity with each faculty , playing it's proper part according to its 'relative worth and dignity." .

- classicists believes in the world as having rigid and stern structure. While romanticist believes that world aa a place to express their  ideas and believe and imagination.

2) Why does Wordsworth say 'What' is poet? rather than Who is poet?
Poet is a men speaking to man, he has sensibility more than enthusiasm and tenderness.
Poet has great knowledge of human nature. He has more comprehensive soul.so Wordsworth says  that what is poet
3) What is poetic diction? Which sort of poetic diction is suggested by Wordsworth in his Preface?
In Wordsworth's preface he gives his view on poetic diction. He use humble and rustic life as a subject matter of poetry. He wants to use that language in his poetry which was perfectly understand by rustic people.so he also use shepherd, villages image in his poetry. This is the condition of essential passion of heart find a better soil. He uses  middle and lower class language to the conversation for the purpose of poetic pleasure.

Dryden Essay On Dramatic Poesy

Dryden Essay On Dramatic Poesy:-

1) Do you any difference between Aristotle's definition of Tragedy and Dryden's definition of Play?
Aristotle's definition of tragedy:

" A Just and lively image of human nature, representing its passions and humors and the changes of fortune to which it is subject, for the delight and instruction of Mankind." So there is a difference in both definition in Dryden's definition he uses the word ' Just ' and ' lively.so both are most important word . In Aristotle's definition of tragedy it ended with therapeutic word ' catharsis'. Where as Dryden ending his definition with ' delight' and ' instruction of Mankind'. He puts equal emphasis on delight and instruction. Dryden's definition coming closer to that one of the jobs of poet does is to represent life as it is. Representing its passion and humors and they are not static. They keep on changing so at that sense it is quite significant touch of realism by Dryden.

2) If you are supposed to give your personal predilection, would you be on the side of the Ancient or the Modern? Please give reasons.
Because moderns Have learned from the ancients. They are not follow with blind way but, they excel new things in many ways. Eugenius arguing that " The moderns exceeds the ancients because of having learned and profited from their example. "

3) Do you think that the arguments presented in favour of the French plays and against English plays are appropriate? (Say for example, Death should not be performed as it is neither 'just' not 'liely' image, displaying duel fight with blunted swords, thousands of soldiers marching represented as five on stage, mingling of mirth and serious, multiple plots etc.)
The arguments have presented in the favor of French and against of English plays are not appropriate in one or the other way because it’s true that French plays have its own rules and discipline. There are certain psychological reasons of all the actions in the play, and it has always proper manner of writing. It believes that the death should not be presented on stage and there should be only a narration of it. As far as English plays are concern they strongly believe that death scene should be performed because it can be have a great effect on the audience though it is not ‘just’ and ‘lively’. For e.g. In Hamlet there is a war and fighting scenes and its give a wonderful effect to the audience.

4) What would be your preference so far as poetic or prosaic dialogues are concerned in the play?
I would like to prefer poetic dialogues because its provide aesthetic delight and in the play use of rhyme are also shows importance of poetic dialogue. Rhyme affects readers emotions and feelings. So, if we use poetic dialogue in their proper place, its became more beautiful.

ARISTOTLE

Aristotle's Poetics:-

1)How far do you agree with Plato’s objection to freedom of expression and artistic liberty enjoyed by creative writers? Name the texts.
I disagree with Plato's objection and agree with Aristotelian point of view and I do not  think any piece  of art should  banned.

2) With reference to the literary texts you have studied during B.A. programme, write brief note on the texts which followed Aristotelian literary tradition.
➤   I am agree with Aristotelian objection because in Tughlaq  we can see that the audience show the hero’s great tragedy ,catharsis, Hamartia. So I am agree Aristotelian concept of literary tradition.

3) With reference to the literary texts you have studies during B.A. programme, write brief note on the texts which did NOT follow Aristotelian literary tradition.
With reference to the literary texts I have studied during B.A. and which has not followed the Aristotelian tradition that is “Bluest Eyes”- by Toni Morrison. In this novel there seems ‘concept of tragedy and catharsis but there is lake of hamartia’.

4) Have you studied any tragedies during B.A. programme? Who was/were the tragic protagonist/s in those tragedies? What was their ‘hamartia’?
I have studied the 'Hairy Ape' written by Eugene O'Neill, which follow the Aristotle we can find that at initial state the hero of this play In this play hero Yank was very happy because of his sense is belongingness, but this excess sense cause him to the Death.

5) Did the ‘Plot’ of those tragedies follow necessary rules and regulations proposed by Aristotle?
➤ If we conclude all things one way plato's objection is right other way Aristotle views are right because, now a days people want to freedom and to live creative life they do not feel for moral life or immoral life.
