Talking with French Professors

We get to chance interaction with French Professor. They come from Lorraine University France Prof.Saeed Paivandi and Prof.Fontanini Christine. They are talk on some topics like that social issues, Political trends and economical situation at them country. They also talk about the feminism and Ratio between the girls and boys in education and boys in the technical and engineering faculties. It's like situation of our country on this issues in the unemployment and education. Rich and poor people they also talks about the why this issues increase more because it's unequal distribution of wealth and you pay lesser salary an employee than you faced more difficulties with this kind of issues.

 We are thankful to Dr. Dilip Barad Sir and also thanks to Kishor Joshi sir who brings them for interect with us.

Guest lecturer by Dr. Jay Mehta Sir

 
We have a guest lecture by Dr Jay Mehta Sir on 15th January 2019 on Mass Media and Communication Study. It's more fruitful and knowledgeable session by him. He is convenience us to whole things that located unit in a comedic way.
He gave us new words and information about in that sense what Media is actually. First of all it's connected with politics and also advertising criteria. It has some sections like this #Judiciary #Parliament. He is introduced us to a new word is PRESTITUDE= Press+Prostitute.
He says that now a days in the news channel a best platform to properganda of anything. It's like that Advertising belongs to human psychology and creativity and also language usage for mind wash of audience and convince to them  more easy way by media. It has attractive logo and tag of anything or product like "पहले इस्तेमाल करे फिर विश्वास करे", "अमूल दूध पीता है इंडिया", "ज़िन्दगी के साथ भी ज़िन्दगी के बाद भी".
He suggested to us watch movie it's related to mass media that 'Rann' movie. It's to much beneficial for this study or paper also.

Mass media effects with this things Investigation journalism, Sting operations, it's like a tinsel world, stigma, Infotainment, Edutainment, Digital media also. He suggest about two books who more helpful to us Mass communication in India by keval j Kumar and Advertising by S.A. Chunawala.

We are very thankful to Dilip Barad sir and also thankful to vaidehi Ma'am to gave us one more opportunity to interact with sir and we are in a such way really enjoyed that lecture of Mehta sir.

Translation workshop:Vishal Bhadani

Review of Transportation Workshop by Vishal Bhadani sir

 We have attended translation workshop on 1st January 2019 and talk with author Vishal Bhadani Sir. He started from the beginning of the story, how to translate any work into other languages. Some things to be notified for this is:

* Authentic self writing
* Drafting-Redrafting
*Paradox- like: Butterfly & Knife
       In the first session he read short story written by him and give some clue that how to write short stories or other forms of literature.

After that we have a second session by him. he gave common myths about translations is that...
*Untranslatability
*Translation is a small theory
*Most translators translate books
*Machine translation is crushing the demand for human translation
*Translation is either faithful or beautiful

'Translated is the closest reading of the text.'
Vishal sir has given us to some tips for career as a professional translator.

Intern - Trainee - Proficient - Expert
*Translate all type of documents
*Never translate without dictionary
*Never bluff, never cheat
*Read-re read after translate
*Start with your favourite genre
*Read variety of books in English fiction and nonfiction from different authors.
*Mix all the methods of translation you know.
*Hold your horses of creativity, just stick to each word

After that sir gave us worksheet for translate somethings like idioms, phrase, paragraph and sentence. And also we do some practical activities.

Either you find out equivalent or similar expression in the target language or use your creativity.

At the last sir introduce one word is that "અકારોકાબા" which meaning in Brazilian language is ફોટા સાથે કેદ થાતો આત્માનો અંશ. On that word sir has written one short story. It's more interesting and metaphorical uses in his work.
